    ROCKAWAY was born out of Founder, Bridget C Firtle’s, love of her hometown Rockaway Beach, NYC and her constant pursuit of balance – working hard, living hard and staying healthy.  After a successful venture in the liquor business, Firtle decided it was time to dedicate a line of drinks that support the yin to her yang – wellness.  

    When Bridget's not hustling (and drinking) drinks, you can find her soaking up the energy of NYC's streets, practicing yoga, finding a party to dance like nobody's watching, eating plants, or jumping the waves in the ocean -- her true happy place.

Inspired by the very special, unique vibes of Rockaway Beach where the New York City streets meet the Atlantic, each of our cans is kissed with sea salt and 1% of company sales will go towards giving back to the Ocean.

To achieve our goals, ROCKAWAY partnered with 1% for the Planet, a global organization that connects dollars and doers to accelerate smart environmental giving. Through business and individual memberships, 1% for the Planet inspires people to support environmental organizations through annual membership and everyday actions. 

Our 1% for the Planet relationship led us to find an ideal non-profit partner in SURFRIDER that will serve our mission to help save the oceans from the devastating effects of pollution and climate change.  Surfrider fights for plastic pollution, ocean protection, beach access, coastal preservation and clean water.  1% of gross sales of all ROCKAWAY cans will go directly to The Surfrider Foundation – dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.  Check out the local, NYC Chapter.
